Tessa Heiberg is a Doctor of Physical Therapy student at Chapman University in Southern California. She is currently completing a clinical rotation in South Lake Tahoe.  Originally from Kodiak Alaska, Tessa grew up training ballet, jazz, and modern dance, and she has been teaching dance for as long as she can remember. For her undergraduate degree, Tessa attended Western Washington University where she received a Bachelor's in Kinesiology with a minor in Dance. During that period, she assisted Kuntz & Company's Dance for Parkinson's and Neurological Disorders class. After graduating, Tessa began teaching her own Dance for Parkinson's Disease classes at Physically Fit PT clinic in San Diego, CA. . Tessa has a passion for incorporating dance into Physical Therapy rehabilitation and hopes to continue this passion as a future DPT.

Rebecca Walter is a Physical Therapist at Barton Health  and a former professional dancer/choreographer. She holds a BFA in Dance from Purchase College SUNY, an MFA in Dance from University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana, and a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from MGH Institute in Boston. Rebecca has performed, taught and choreographed dance for over 20 years and was the Artistic Director of Catapult Dance, based in Dublin, Ireland for over a decade. She has taught dance in many settings including Macushla Dance and Social Club for 50+ yrs old at Dance Ireland, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, University of Limerick, the Association of Professional Dancers in Ireland, Ballet Ireland and elsewhere. Like Tessa, she is passionate about bringing dance and Physical Therapy together and she's delighted to join forces with Tessa to assist her in offering this class.
