Emergency Management Plan - COVID-19

Barton Health has emergency management guidelines, including specific to COVID-19, resource scarcity and surge planning, in alignment with the California Department of Public Health (CDPH), tailoring our comprehensive plans to meet our facility and community specifics and and have the ability to shift between short and long term crises. California SARS-CoV-2 Pandemic Crisis Care Guidelines include emergency planning protocols for varying care levels from “conventional” to “contingency” to “crisis.”

Crisis Care Guideline Pre-Implementation Checklist

To remain prepared in case of emergency, Barton Health has a crisis checklist within our Emergency Operating Plan specific to Barton infrastructure, personnel and emergency event(s) as applicable. Our comprehensive checklists include all items from CDPH’s checklist.

Hospital Incident Command System

Per our Emergency Operation Plan (EOP), Barton Health will utilize the Hospital Incident Command System (HICS) when deemed necessary by hospital leadership. HICS ensures continuous incident monitoring, appropriate public health contacts and a coordinated internal response.
